Courthouse tour #2

The Jac
Finally!!!!!!! Thought I would never get on a ride again. It has been two months since I have had a scooter adventure and I am in serious withdrawl. Within a few days of returning home I went under the knife for a planned eyelid operation. For several weeks now I have been walking around looking like I got in a serious bar fight with trick or treater. Several weeks have passed and I can now see the road at least and we are headed to the Jacaranda.

I arrived at the Jac early afternoon and Bill had beat me there. We rode down to the Taqueria Melo for lunch. We both ordered carne assada. The serving where hugh. One would have served a family of five. Rode a little around town but got rain back to the hotel because of ran. Dinner as usual was across the street 18 East.

Day two was a wash out. Rain started in the night and continued through noon. We got a short break and we rushed off to Sebring  to the movie. We watched Ford vs Ferrari in a great little theater. It has large electric recliners. Easy to go to sleep in, but fortunately the movie was great and so I did not doze off.

We out ran the rain the back to the hotel. Our friend Celeste had driven over from Ft. Meyers to visit us for the evening. She left her scooter at home due to the rain. We sat on the balcony drinking beer and then wandered over to 18 East for dinner.  We enjoy Celeste as she is a fellow curmudgen and fits in well.

Day three was great. We were joned by Bill's friend Dan and we went off on the court house tour. A beautiful day to ride 250 miles and check off three more courthouses. The evening found us back at 18 East and as we sat down Pam put down a Stella and a lemon drop martini for us. We may have been coming here to much.

Sunday was very cold. After breakfast at a local redneck diner I headed home. Sure wish I had brought warmer clothes.
